Ben is a farrier intern at Waterfall Ranch and always has his anvil, pliers and hammer on hand. He checks and cleans the hooves before lighting the embers of the forge to prepare everything for shoeing the hooves. The respective horseshoes and hoof nails are custom-made for each animal. It's not always easy, but at the end of the day Ben has fitted Waterfall's horses with new horseshoes. His mustang stallion Achilles, whom Ben tied to the paddock for shoeing, now trusts him implicitly.
